Carriage House Suite and Guest Room Deposits:

At the time of booking your Carriage House Suite or Guest Room, we will charge a 50% deposit of the total room cost. Remaining reservation balance will be charged to credit card at guest check-in. We require a valid photo ID for credit card validation. Same day reservations will be charged the full amount of the reservation at the time of booking. 


The Carriage House of New Hope is a small boutique Inn. Due to our size we are significantly affected by cancellations.

Unfortunately, we find it necessary to adhere to a strict cancellation policy as we do not overbook.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to guarantee your reservation and this will be charged to your credit card when you make your reservation. You will be charged the full amount of the reservation if you cancel within three days before your arrival time.

All rooms are non transferrable. We strongly suggest you purchase trip insurance if your travel plans are not firm. You are responsible for all nights reserved. There are NO exceptions to this policy. Cancellations are accepted in written form/email only and in the time specified above to be valid.  


We are so happy you will be staying at our beautifully restored three-room inn. The front desk is located at our sister property just a block away at the Ghost Light Inn, which is right next to the Bucks County Playhouse. Upon arrival, please meet us at this property at 50 S. Main Street to check in, retrieve your room keys and ask any questions you may have.

Check in time is between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm. With appropriate notice and approval, by phone conversations only, we may be able to accommodate an earlier check in time. Check out time is 11:00 am. Again, by prior request only, we may be able to provide a later check out time of 12:00 pm.

Valet service is available at the entrance of the Ghost Light Inn to drive you to the Carriage House, help with any luggage needs you may have and valet your vehicle. The cost is $20 per day and all proceeds go directly to support the non profit Bucks County Playhouse. If you choose not to use our valet service, you may park on your own anywhere in town, however please know there are no free parking spaces in New Hope.


We regret that there is no parking on site at the Carriage House. You are welcome to unload your luggage in our brick driveway temporarily, but no permanent parking is allowed.

We recommend parking in the lot at The Bucks County Playhouse next door to our property. Valet is available during evening hours starting at 5:00 pm during playhouse performances and also during matinee performances. Otherwise, please use Pay by Plate parking during regular hours. All public parking spots in New Hope use the Pay by Plate. method. You may pay by meter located at various locations or by the easily downloaded phone app. The Carriage House has a meter located on the corner of Main and Mechanic Streets. Please remember you only need to pay the meter until 9:00 pm each evening and again at 9:00 pm in the morning.

After Hours Check–In:

Since the Ghost Light Inn and the Carriage House of New Hope do not have on site staff after 10:00 pm, please contact us at 267-740-7131, at least 24 hours before arrival, for instructions on retrieving your guest room key and instructions on how to enter the inn if you are arriving after 10:00 pm. Thank you.

Pet Fee and Policies:

We welcome your pet! There is a $75.00 per night, per pet, nonrefundable pet fee, which will be charged at the time of your reservation booking. Please let us know prior to your stay if you will be bringing a furry friend and if a bed or bowl will be needed. No pets are to be left unattended in room at any time during your stay and must remain on a leash in our terraced areas.  A recurring fee of $150.00 will be automatically added to your room charge if your pet is left unattended in your room. There is also a nonrefundable cleaning fee for any damage or extra cleaning due to your pets stay with us of $350.00. 

Children/Additional Guests:

The Carriage House is a small exclusive getaway destination. We are unable to accommodate children under 5 years of age in any room. We have one roll away bed which may be added to any room with prior notice. Additional guests must be listed on your reservation prior to arrival. There is an additional set up/person fee of $75.00 per night, per guest.

Smoking :

We are a non smoking Inn due to the historic nature of our property. There is absolutely no smoking in guest rooms, room decks or lobby. We have a small area on our outside corner terrace during the warmer months for those who feel the need.

If there is any smoke detected in the guest rooms, there will be an automatic $350.00 fee added to your bill.  

Gift Certificates:

We are happy to provide that memorable gift for your friends, family or loved ones. Gift Certificates can be purchased on our Carriage House website, by phone or in person at the Inn. Our Make A Reservation Tab will take you to our Gift Certificates Section.

When redeeming Gift Certificates, please let us know you are using one when making a reservation and bring the original with you at check in.

Common Areas:

Common Areas are for general usage for our in house guests. We encourage an intimate, quiet, peaceful environment for all who stay with us.. 

No parties/function or Weddings without prior approval from management. Our Suite/Property is available for rental as a function space (at an arranged rate) but please inquire before booking. For the avoidance of doubt, a party is a gathering inside the Suite/Rooms or Property which includes more than 3 people that were not included on the reservation. Thank you for your consideration.

Wedding Stays:

Wedding stays must be declared in advance in your reservation or by phone. If you are planning to stay during a wedding event,  staying as a bride/groom or if you are listing us as a destination stay for your wedding venue we would greatly appreciate you advising us. Hosting in room preparations may greatly affect others staying at the Inn who are not part of a wedding party. Please see the Common Area paragraph above. Thank you.
