It’s Not Too Late to Plan Your Fall Getaway to New Hope


It seemed like summer was swept away with a crisp breeze this year, welcoming Fall maybe a little sooner than we were ready for. As we’re saying “So long!” to our favorite memories from this past summer, we’re getting ready to embrace all the wonderful upcoming fall activities and festivals. If you’ve never visited New Hope in Autumn, we’ll let you in on a little local secret…it is the absolute best time of year to visit! The fall foliage makes the already stunning views of the Delaware even better, and weekends are jam-packed with fall-themed events. Here are just a few great reasons to start planning your visit to New Hope today.

Grapevine Express

A romantic excursion through the Bucks County woods where sweethearts can enjoy gourmet cheese, artisan crackers and a new wine featured each month. Couples ride in an early 1900’s first class parlor car and served a careful selection of wines and cheeses. The trip lasts 90 minutes and departs most Saturdays at 5:00p.m. and 7:00p.m.

New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival

Over 160 juried fine artists and craftsmen will exhibit a variety of paintings, sculptures, jewelry, glass art, photography and more. There are also food vendors serving delicious dishes like gourmet grilled cheese and mouth-watering BBQ. Admission is only $1!

When: September 24 10:00a.m.-6pm and September 25 10:00a.m.-5:00p.m. at New Hope-Solebury High School

Art and Antiques Weekend

This will be the first annual “Art and Antiques Weekend” presented by The Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau to promote the active and unique arts community in the area. Dozens of local galleries, antique stores, and specialty shops in New Hope and Lambertville will be offering deals and hosting special events.

October FEAST

What’s better than a festival? How about a FEASTival? New Hope’s twist on a classic includes a weekend of German food, fun, and drinks at Peddler’s Village. You might want to wear your eating pants for this one!

Apple Festival

Peddler’s Village 44th Annual Apple Festival has free admission with more than 60 local artisans, apple pie eating contests, apple treats, and live entertainment.

When: November 4 & 5 10:00am-6:00p.m. at Peddler’s Village
