March 23, 2018

What better way to shake off the cold of winter than a spring break? Put some pep in your step with a vacation in New Hope! New Hope and our neighboring town Lambertville have historically been places to bring family and celebrate Easter. There is no shortage of events going on, including Easter brunches, plays, train rides, and festivals. Read on to learn about them all.

The first step to ensure an unforgettable spring break is to make your reservations at the Carriage House of New Hope. The Carriage House has full inn rentals available! Bring the family and cater a special occasion with your family and friends in our fully equipped chefs kitchen. New Hope is a fantastic culinary town, so we recommend checking out one of the many fabulous local restaurants.

There are two famous Easter brunches that will definitely need reservations: The Lambertville Station and Black Bass Restaurant. On Sunday, April 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., indulge in the famous Lambertville Station Restaurant Easter Brunch with made to order eggs, seafood, a meat carving station, and Belgian waffles. Black Bass Restaurant in Lumberville is popping bottles of bubbly at their Easter Sunday Champagne Brunch on Sunday, April 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Start an assortment of house-made baked goods, and a three course meal including crepes, parfaits, breakfast classics like eggs benedict, southern dishes such as shrimp and grits, and brunch favorites including crab cakes, bacon burgers, and chicken waldorf salad. Wherever you go, save room for dessert!

Along with exceptional food, New Hope also has exceptional entertainment. Head to the Bucks County Playhouse for their theatrical production Love Letters By A.R. Gurney. Meredith Baxter and Michael Gross from TV’s “Family Ties!” star in this show. After Andrew attends Melissa's birthday party, Melissa sends him a thank you, which starts a romantic correspondence which will endure for 50 years! Their relationships is constantly evolving and they become best friends who share each other's secrets. This romance is funny, emotional, and shows the true power of love.

Nature lovers can enjoy views of the Delaware River and Aquetong Falls from your private balcony at the Carriage House, or take an excursion on the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad Easter Bunny Express.
